The Spring Lake Fire Department is proud to provide a high level of fire protection to our community. One way this is reflected is through our current Public Protection Classification (PPC) rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO).
Spring Lake Fire Department holds a PPC rating of Class 3/3Y, placing us among the top-rated all-volunteer fire departments in the country. Only a small percentage of fire departments nationwide achieve this level of classification.
For our community, this rating matters. ISO classifications directly influence residential and commercial insurance rates, and our Class 3/3Y rating can positively impact insurance costs for property owners throughout Ulster Fire District #1.
