    Provides information and ideas that will assist emergency services organizations and their training officers to provide better training programs to their members.

Community Training

SLFD Training Center

The Spring Lake Fire Department Community Training Center provides low cost First Aid, CPR and Babysitter Training Programs for the Community. These programs include the required CPR and First Aid training for professional rescuers such as nurses, lifeguards, daycare personel, etc. Along with basic CPR and First Aid training for members of the community that are just interested in becoming trained to help their family and neighbors.

Our Fleet


• 2004 Pumper manufactured by 4 Guy Fire Apparatus on an HME Chassis
• 1500 gallon per minute pump with a 1500 gallon booster tank
• Compressed Air Foam System with 40 gallon Class A foam cell
• 15 kilowatt on-board generator and Wilburt Light Tower
• Seats the Engine Operator, Engine Officer, and four Firefighters
• E59-10 started its career with Adam’s Area Fire District before being purchased by the District in 2013

History of the Spring Lake Fire Department

The Spring Lake Fire Department was established to provide the residents of Ulster Fire District #1 with fire, rescue, and first response emergency medical services. Our department is all volunteer, from the fire commissioners to the individual firefighters.

Our Mission

The mission of the Spring Lake Fire Department is to provide the highest level of life and property protection services to the residents of our community through the effective and efficient utilization of available resources and personnel by constantly increasing our knowledge and skills, through education and training to provide:

  • fire suppression
  • rescue
  • emergency management of hazardous conditions
  • pre-hospital emergency medical care
  • fire investigation
  • pre-planning
  • and public education services

The Spring Lake Fire Department is an all-volunteer department that provides world-class fire protection, rescue services, and emergency medical response to the residents of the Ulster Fire District #1. These services are rendered by highly-trained and dedicated volunteers that are committed to a tradition of excellence and adaptability that staff the Spring Lake Fire Department.
